Well, in line with ushering the Year of Tiger, we spoke to media intelligence firm CARMA to find out who are some of the influencers born in the Year of Tiger that brands can think of working with this year. According to Charles Cheung, GM of CARMA Hong Kong, many of these rising influencers did not start their journey to influence through Instagram. Rather, they gained popularity through other means before translating it into Instagram fame. Cheung also shared with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that male influencers tend to get sponsored by lifestyle brands, while female tend to get sponsored by fashion brands.
Cheung added that the zodiac tiger sign is a symbol of bravery and confidence. “Tigers are said to be very charming and well-liked by others. This may explain why a large number of influencers were born in the year of tiger,” he added.
