Wunderman Thompson HK names ECD and head of strategy

Wunderman Thompson has appointed Wilson Ang (pictured left) as executive creative director and Anant Deboor (pictured right) as head of strategy for Hong Kong.
According to the press release, both are no strangers to the Wunderman Thompson network, the duo are returning home to Wunderman Thompson with Ang previously Group Creative Director at JWT and Deboor having spent more than a decade within the agency.
Anant Deboor brings a wealth of varied experience, previously working client-side as a global head of strategic marketing, independent board-level marketing strategy consultant and advertising or branding agency-side business leader and planner across Asia-Pacific. Deboor has successfully run a wide variety of projects including global or regional brand and comms development programmes; with sector expertise running through finance, technology, professional services, luxury or lifestyle and FMCG. Deboor is also a regular contributor to the business and mainstream media on the role and importance of brands or marketing.
Meanwhile, Wilson Ang joins the agency as one of the first creative leaders applying creativity and innovation into digital transformation for clients. In the past 20 years, Ang has worked on Hong Kong and regional accounts as varied as AIA, Disneyland, HSBC, IKEA, McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble and Samsung with over 10 of these years in digital and traditional leadership roles.
