VMLY&R Malaysia appoints JWT's Raymond Ng as ECD

VMLY&R Malaysia has appointed Raymond Ng as ECD. Ng, who was previously ECD of JWT Malaysia, will be responsible for enhancing the agency’s creative service offering and leading VMLY&R Malaysia’s creative team to create connected brands that drive value for clients. He reports to VMLY&R Malaysia managing director Eric Ho and VMLY&R Asia chief creative officer, Valerie Madon.

Prior to JWT Malaysia, Ng was creative director at Dentsu One Malaysia, FCB Malaysia, and Naga DDB Malaysia.  He has more than 20 years experience under his belt and have worked with brands including Chevrolet, CIMB Bank, Citibank, Honda, HSBC, Mead Johnson, Ministry of Tourism (Malaysia), Mondelez, Nestle, Nike Malaysia, Nissan, P&G, Telekom Malaysia, Toyota and Unilever.He was also regional creative director at the Oreo brand.

“Ng brings with him a wealth of creative talent and experience, consistently delivering to a high standard for clients in Malaysia and across the wider region. We are delighted to welcome him to the VMLY&R team, and very much look forward to the exciting contributions he will make," Ho said.

VMLY&R has seen a number of new global hires in the past year. This includes Madon as Asia chief creative officer, Din Sumedi as chief creative officer of VMLY&R Indonesia, and also Gary Teo as managing director of experiences and technology. The agency's Malaysia hand worked with brands such as Colgate-Palmolive, Caltex, Sony Pictures, Fraser & Neave, Hong Leong Bank and Telekom Malaysia.
