Viu Singapore crowned Brand of the Year at Loyalty & Engagement Awards 2022

Viu Singapore has risen to the top at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s 10th edition of the Loyalty & Engagement Awards, snagging the title of “L&E 2022 Brand of the Year”. Its campaigns “Viu to Win” and “Again My Life (Back in Time)”, were received highly by the jury across various categories such as, Best Loyalty Programme- Launch / Re-Launch, Best Loyalty Programme- Lifestyle, Best Customer Experience, Best Use of Contests / Promotions, Best Use of Experiential / Live Marketing, and much more. The team took home a staggering ten golds, six silvers and two bronze trophies.
Taking the second Overall spot was FairPrice Group with three gold, two silver and one bronze trophy. This was for their winning campaigns including "FPG Social Lab", "Everything Food Guides", "Everywhere Also See Food" and "Link Rewards Program - Digitally Connecting Customers with Greater Value".
Coming in joint third were AIA Singapore with three gold, one silver and two bronze and PETRONAS Dagangan with three golds and two silvers across company categories. AIA Singapore impressed judges with its campaigns “Scared what scared”, “Green pledge + better lives funds” and “Live with vitality”, while PETRONAS Dagangan’s campaigns “Mesra-Visa kasih bonanza” and “Food bank programme” received high scores as well.
In addition to the overall L&E Brand, three other overall titles were awarded on the night to recognise the agencies across three main areas; loyalty marketing, engagement marketing and relationship marketing. Edging out stiff competition, XGATE and DDB Group Singapore emerged as champions in their field, bringing home the titles of “Loyalty Agency of the Year” and “Engagement Agency of the Year” respectively. Additionally, Digitas Malaysia claimed a coveted title, winning overall “Relationship Marketing Agency of the Year”. These companies beat out top competition for the titles of MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s Loyalty & Engagement Awards 2022.
Across the three campaigns XGATE entered, the campaign “KIPLING I Live. Light” which was done in partnership with VF Group, won one gold and one silver trophies. Tied for second place, Bread Butter Bacon and DDB Group Singapore both secured two gold trophies each.
DDB Group Singapore emerged triumphantly by claiming the number one spot as “Engagement Agency of the Year”, across categories, Best Customer Experience, Best Engagement Strategy- B2C, Best Online Experience, Best Use of Contests / Promotions and Best Use of UI / UX Design. DDB's campaign “Viu to Win” together with Viu Singapore brought them home three Gold and two Silver trophies.
Digitas Malaysia claimed the title of “Relationship Marketing Agency of the Year”, across categories, Best Use of Consumer Insights / Data Analytics, Best Use of Direct Marketing and Best use of Relationship Marketing- B2C, for its partnership with brands such as Mercedez Benz Malaysia, Samsung Malaysia and Nestle Malaysia, taking home three Gold trophies.
Other big winners across the board include HSBC Singapore, FairPrice Group, Singtel, VF Group, Shell International Petroleum, UOB, Millennium Hotels and more. This year’s judging was filled with exciting creativity and innovation as professionals continued to strive for excellence. A huge round of applause to all winners and finalists!
