Valentino bags Jolin Tsai as new brand ambassador

Luxury fashion brand Valentino has appointed popular Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai (pictured) as its newest brand ambassador.
Tsai, also known as the "Queen of C-Pop", is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter and actress, and is considered as one of the most popular female singers in Asia, having sold more than 25 million records. She is the first Chinese ambassador to join Valentino’s global lineup.
Announced on its official Weibo page, Valentino said Tsai will be featured in its global advertising campaign for the 2024 Spring/Summer L'École collection.
“Tsai constantly pushes herself to break boundaries and fearlessly embraces innovation, aligning perfectly with the diverse values of the brand,” the statement reads.
“I am delighted to join Valentino, and I greatly admire creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli for consistently infusing feminine creativity into each design, showcasing a unique and powerful style. It is a delightful surprise exclusive to the Valentino LÉcole 2024 Spring/Summer collection,” Tsai said on her Weibo.
Shot in New York by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign showcases Tsai wearing signature Valentino items in diverse styles, celebrating femininity with an intimate and honest approach.
Additionally, the campaign is being promoted through digital out-of-home (OOH) billboards in buildings across Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan, Changsha and Shenzhen.

Back in November last year, Valentino appointed Chinese actress Yang Zi as brand ambassador. “I am happy to share my idea of beauty with the genuine talent of Yang Zi. Her personal interpretation of Maison Valentino's romantic codes is a prove of empathy and curiosity,” said Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director, Maison Valentino.
