Apparel retailer UNIQLO Malaysia has appointed local singer and actress Daiyan Trisha as its first ever brand advocate in Malaysia.
Daiyan was selected for her timeless sense of style, making her the perfect advocate for UNIQLO's LifeWear clothing that's designed to be simple, functional and comfortable for everyday life. In her new role, Daiyan will bring the LifeWear philosophy closer to Malaysians, making effortless fashion more relatable, versatile, and accessible.
In an Instagram post announcing the partnership, UNIQLO Malaysia said “With this, we are excited in bringing the LifeWear philosophy to life, fostering a deeper connection with Malaysians through comfort, style and everyday wear that truly resonates. It’s an honour to welcome Daiyan as our first-ever brand advocate in Malaysia. Her success story, vibrant personality, and strong connection with Malaysians make her the perfect fit to represent UNIQLO’s commitment to comfort, quality, and timeless fashion.”

Over on Facebook, UNIQLO Malaysia shared Daiyan’s top picks from its linen collection, which included the women’s linen blend open collar shirt, and linen blend band collar shirt in a three-quarter sleeve.
Similarly, Daiyan took to social media to announce her new role, expressing her gratitude and excitement. “It’s amazing representing my country like this, and to make history by being the first and only one at the moment. Thank you so much UNIQLO global team for the trust,” said Daiyan in a post.
“This really feels like a huge win for me [...] I’m so thankful to be working with a brand that aligns with my value. Staying true to my principles made this moment so much sweeter for me,” she added.
The collaboration did not come out of nowhere, as Daiyan had been featured as a host in UNIQLO’s Live Station live shopping experience back in August 2023.
At the same time, Daiyan is no stranger to apparel and footwear brands in Malaysia. In 2023, Clarks collaborated with the singer-songwriter for its Spring/Summer 2023 collection on a regional level. Earlier in 2020, Daiyan worked with ALDO for an exclusive collection, and Levi’s for the “Aksimu berbicara” (‘Your actions speak’) music video for Ramadan.
Meanwhile, UNIQLO is not the only one elevating a Malaysian artist as its brand ambassador. Last month, ECCO introduced music icon Yuna as the face of its latest “Icons that last” campaign in Malaysia and Singapore, for its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The match highlighted Yuna, known for fearlessly charting her path to the international stage, as a modern icon.
