After completing its review of media duties, international consumer goods company Unilever has chosen to name WPP as its agency to handle planning and buying of all paid media in China.

Unilver has said that the appointment will take effect later this year.

PHD had previously been handling Unilever's paid media business in China. Following this latest review, PHD will still continue to handle the company’s media assignments in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In a statement, executive vice president of global media at Unilever Luis Di Como said, “Unilever would like to acknowledge and thank PHD, the incumbent agency in China, for the excellent work done by them over the past decade which was characterised by dramatic changes in commerce and communication.”
