Uni-China Group nabs TamJai International's Agnes Lung as new group CMO

TamJai International’s executive director and group chief marketing and digital officer Agnes Lung (pictured) has departed after two and a half years to join Uni-China(Business) Management as group chief marketing and digital officer, effective from 5 June.

In this newly created role as part of the company's business expansion, Lung will report to Jackie Ling, chairman of Uni-China Group. She will be responsible for formulating marketing and branding strategies for the group, developing new brands, enhancing the company’s digital transformation and advocating the customer digital journey for the group.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Lung said she has been working in the retail business industry for 15 years and she is excited to take up a new challenge in the industry.

Prior to her new position, Lung was the executive director and group chief marketing and digital officer of TamJai International Group. Before TamJai, she had been the vice president of McDonald's Hong Kong and marketing and branding GM of Cafe de Coral.

Apart from the F&B industry, Lung has also garnered over 15 years of experience in the retail industry. She has helmed various senior roles at major retail and luxury brands such as Sa Sa International, Starbucks, DFS Group, LOreal, LVMH and Shiseido.

With over 30 years of history in Hong Kong, UCBM is a fresh food wholesaler and retailer which boasts over 80 brands and 1,000 sales points. The company prides itself on providing high-quality products to its customers through its diverse range of brands which includes local fresh markets, supermarkets, farm produce, frozen food, F&B chains, amongst others.

UCBM operates over 30 local fresh markets with a strong commitment to modernisation and revitalisation, according to its website. ParkNShop and LINKS 領展 are two of the company’s biggest strategic partners.
