Tribal Worldwide's ECD Benson Toh steps down, joins new agency

Tribal Worldwide's executive creative director, Benson Toh, is stepping down from the role after 13 years, as confirmed by Toh to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. He will be moving to Moon Rabbit Singapore as its managing partner and executive creative director. 

"I have been with Tribal Worldwide for the past 13 years but as a creative, I am always looking for new challenges and the calling for me to explore new horizons beyond Tribal has been quite intense of late," said Toh. 

"I'm eager to apply the skills and expertise I've developed here to a new context and continue my professional evolution," he added. 

Toh explained that he is grateful for the opportunities he has had at Tribal Worldwide and the trust placed in him. "I'm proud of what I have put in place, and I know that Tribal will continue to thrive and innovate in the future."

Toh said that in the last few years, he has mentored many creatives who are now creative leaders in their respective careers, something he is very proud of. 

In his new role at Moon Rabbit, Toh will be concentrating on existing clients that the agency has in Singapore, Philippines, Macau, Australia and Europe. He will be working with Michael Banner the managing partner to steer the agency forward, he said.

Toh started at DDB in 2011 as a freelance creative before moving to Tribal DDB as senior creative group head. He was named Tribal Worldwide's creative director in 2015 before being promoted to executive creative director in 2020. Prior to his stint at the agency, Toh worked with Cheil Worldwide as its head or art and then its creative director. Here, he worked on a range of services from FMCG to telco projects.

He also spent an additional three years at DDB Worldwide from 2004 as senior art director. There, he worked on a range of services from banking to government to telco ones.
