TransUnion Hong Kong has recently rolled out a multiphase campaign in an effort to educate Hongkongers about taking control of their personal credit to accomplish different life goals.

The campaign was launched on 3 May. Kicking off the campaign is a 45-second video that builds awareness of the importance of closely monitoring one’s credit rating. The campaign will reach out to various target audiences with three 30-second videos that focus on the use of consumer credit reports for emigration, loan application and identity protection in the next phase.

“The pandemic has brought changes to many Hong Kong people who start to reconsider their life plans, such as getting a new job, buying new flats or moving to other countries. Driven by those consumer needs, TransUnion Hong Kong is committed to educating Hongkongers about how their credit report supports them to maintain their credit health. Taking control of their own credit report is therefore critical to help them achieve their life plans,” said Irene Foo, director of consumer interactive for Hong Kong at TransUnion.

According to the company, the pandemic is shifting the dynamics of the consumer credit market as the demand for understanding consumer financial health is on the rise.

“During these unprecedented times, trust has never been more important. TransUnion Hong Kong strives to make trust possible between businesses and consumers, by ensuring that each consumer is reliably and safely represented in the marketplace,” Foo added.
