The current macroeconomic conditions are volatile and companies have seen leadership changes and job cuts over the past few months. While the term "Great Resignation" was the talk of the town previously, "quiet quitting" drew some attention among companies. Work-life balance and well-being have also become important focal points for businesses these days in addition to issues such as ESG and DEI.

According to Robert Walters, 90% of Malaysians feel motivated to go above and beyond when the employer's mission, values, and vision aligns with their own. Slightly more than half (54%) also believe it is more important than ever for leaders to speak out about social, environmental, and political issues.
