Malaysia-based TIME dotcom (Time) has unveiled the “Time X Creators” campaign, a collaboration with five Malaysian illustrators to bridge the digital world with interpretive art. Together with the illustrators, the telecommunications provider transformed Internet scenarios into illustrations that showcased the way the online realm is perceived.

The five illustrators were Cloakwork, Izzati Suza, thatDania, shuuhuahua and Ish. They offered diverse interpretations of the Internet landscape through their art, creating visual journeys for viewers to experience the Internet through fresh eyes.

Time brought the illustrations to life in a range of lifestyle merchandise and a video interview series that featured each illustrator. The collection included items such as tote bags, sticker packs, and a metal flask.

These items were launched exclusively through Time’s social media accounts and at the annual SneakerLAH 2023 event held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Time’s “Time X Creators” campaign forms a pivotal part of its rebranding strategy, which seeks to build its irreverent and expressive identity in the eyes of consumers.

Collaborations with local artists are gaining traction as a way for brands to engage with local customer bases. In August 2023, Disney featured Malaysian artists as part of their “Create 100” campaign to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The campaign saw collaborations with artists such as Red Hong Yi and Danielle Soong, who represented the Malaysian creative community.
