TIME dotCom is calling for a media pitch and the appointment will be two years with the option to extend for another. Head of marketing Andrew Yeoh told A+M that invited agencies will be briefed by the second half of July and will be given three weeks to reply with a proposal. The appointment is expected to be finalised by September and only one agency will be appointed to handle all media buying duties. M/SIX is the incumbent on the account.
According to Yeoh, he is on the lookout for agencies with digital authority and leadership, strong media owner relationships, and deep strategic capabilities. The ideal agency should also be innovative, have first-to-market solutions as well as a kindred challenger spirit and mindset.
Yeoh joined the team earlier this year after spending five years with IKEA Southeast Asia as head of marketing and innovation (shopping centre). He told A+M back then that he is "thrilled to be joining a fast-growing industry and bold company". When asked why he chose TIME's, Yeoh explained that he was drawn to its quick, can-do mindset and will strive to embody its mantra of doing things right for customers, partners, employees, and shareholders.
