The Travel Corporation snags new marcomms director for Asia

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has named Koo Sok Hoon as its new marketing communications director for TTC Asia, according to the company in a statement to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
In this role, she will lead the development and execution of TTC Asia's marketing and communications strategy, planning and implementation of new marketing initiatives and will explore and activate new partnerships.

As a passionate leader with a proven track record and a deep understanding of marketing in the premium and luxury space, we are confident that her skills and strategic vision will contribute significantly to our continued growth and success in the region," said Nick Lim, CEO of TT C Asia.

Koo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to TTC Asia, having headed various marketing roles in luxury brands from automobile, hospitality, timepieces to fashion.
Most recently, Koo was BMW Group's head of marketing communications. Koo joined the German automaker in 2015 as its marketing communications manager. In the role, she worked on multiple campaigns particularly surrounding the launch of the BMW 5 series.
In June 2022, Koo was promoted to head of marketing communications under BMW Group Asia. In the role, Koo oversaw the marketing communications and brand management of BMW in 12 regional markets, with key focus in Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam.
She also led strategic brand collaborations and partnerships and was responsible for media strategies in Singapore, according to her LinkedIn page.
Prior to her stint at BMW Group, Koo was communications manager at luxury fashion brand Gucci, a role she held for just under two years. She has also held leading marketing roles in brands such as Breitling, Fairmont Singapore and Swissotel Merchant Court Singapore.
In her new role, Koo will play a pivotal role in growing the TTC brands in the region and continue the company's commitment to ensure that travel has a positive impact on the planet, people and wildlife.
