The Pod Network taps Hit Productions to raise the bar for Philippine podcasts
share on
The Pod Network, the Philippines' leading podcast network, has forged a partnership with audio production house Hit Productions to elevate the quality and reach of local podcast content.
The collaboration is aimed at levelling up post-production capabilities—including sound design, mixing, and mastering—through knowledge-sharing and mentorship provided by Hit Productions' audio veterans. The alliance is expected to enhance the technical and creative soundscape of podcasting in the country, opening the door to deeper engagement and stronger brand storytelling.
"This partnership signals a pivotal moment for Philippine podcasting. With Hit Productions onboard, The Pod Network is primed to reshape not just the quality of content, but the scale of our impact. We're helping build as well as shape the future of podcasts locally, one story, one voice at a time, and this move puts the entire industry on notice," said Alan Fontanilla, CEO of The Pod Network.

The announcement comes on the heels of a joint report by The Pod Network and socio-cultural research group The Fourth Wall, which revealed that weekly podcast listenership in the Philippines exceeded 17 million in 2024. The study found podcasts now outpace traditional and digital platforms—including TV, online news portals, and streaming sites—as a preferred information source among Filipinos.
For Hit Productions, the move represents a strategic expansion into the booming podcast space, an arena that continues to evolve the boundaries of audio storytelling.
"We've always believed in the power of sound to connect, move, and inspire — and podcasting is a space where that continues to evolve in exciting ways. Our investment in The Pod Network is a natural extension of Hit's long-standing commitment to audio. This is about being part of where audio is headed and supporting the growth of meaningful, creator-driven content," said Vic Icasas, CEO of Hit Productions.
Founded in 2023, The Pod Network has quickly grown into the country’s premier podcast platform, producing over 40 shows with a monthly listenership of 300,000 and more than 2 million combined Spotify followers. Its line-up includes crowd favourites such as The Koolpals, Lecheng Pag-ibig ‘To with Sam YG and DJ Chacha, the spine-tingling Book of Bad Ideas, and the chart-topping Paano Kung.
With more than 30 years of experience, Hit Productions is recognised as one of the Philippines' most decorated audio companies. The studio made history in 2012 by winning the country's first-ever Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which highlights advertising and creative works.
Now, by joining forces with The Pod Network, Hit Productions is bringing that same calibre of expertise into the podcasting space—helping shape a new era of immersive audio content in the Philippines and enabling brands and businesses to utilise a stronger platform to connect with audiences.
