The LEGO Group picks new marketing director of India and emerging Asia

The LEGO Group has appointed Rohan Mathur (pictured) as its new marketing director of India and emerging Asia, according to a LinkedIn update. 

According to his LinkedIn, Mathur's new role includes growing the LEGO Group's fronter in several markets including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. 

"With offices in four of these five markets, we are aiming to increase brand engagement and local relevance among millions of kids and countless adults," said Mathur on LinkedIn.

Prior to taking on this new role, Mathur was LEGO's marketing director of Southeast Asia where he led the marketing for the LEGO Group in the market with an objective to step-change business growth. 

His past roles in The LEGO Group includes senior regional sales manager of South Asia and senior marketing manager, a role he held in 2016 when he first joined the company. Before joining The LEGO Group, Mathur was at Procter & Gamble for just under eight years where he was brand manager of digital and eCommerce leader for Asia Pacific fabric care. 

At Procter & Gamble, Mathur also took on the role of Ariel Vietnam and Myanmar whitespace leader, as well as assistant brand manager of Pringles Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
