THE GULU launches book fair ticket giveaway for members

THE GULU , a Hong Kong-based queuing app operated by Gorilla Group, has launched a summer campaign offering free book fair tickets to its registered members.
Also known as “The GULU summer celebration, with you, without queue”, the campaign kicks off on 2 July, celebrating the start of summer with THE GULU’s members and book fair lovers to get a chance to win a free ticket to the Hong Kong Book Fair, Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo, and Snack World.
Abbie Kan, marketing and partnership director, Gorilla Group, told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the campaign is a first-of-its-kind initiative for the app. It aims to maintain ongoing momentum for both the app's partners and its user base. The campaign specifically targets driving engagement and reactivation among THE GULU's registered members.
As part of the campaign, THE GULU will provide 500 of its registered users the chance to attend the three exhibitions. These free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to the app's members. Users need to fill in simple information on THE GULU APP, and winners will be notified within 48 hours via THE GULU APP.
The campaign is being promoted on THE GULU-owned channels, including its app promotion, app push, and electronic direct mail (EDM).
"THE GULU is thrilled to kick start the summer celebrate with our users through this exciting summer campaign. By offering free e-ticket to the HKTDC Book Fair, we aim to inspire more people to discover the joys of reading and experience the event ticketing in a seamless, queue-free manner," Kan said.
“This is just the beginning, as we have a year of delightful surprises from food and beverage industry to large-scale Hong Kong events in store for our loyal users,“ Kan added.
Launched in 2023, THE GULU app was founded with the vision of revolutionising how Hongkongers navigate everyday tasks and improve their overall quality of life. The app is designed to streamline and simplify various aspects of people's daily routines. According to the release, THE GULU is committed to revolutionising the queuing experience, especially during this hot summer.
