
Texas Chicken revs up drive-thru outlets in Malaysia

Texas Chicken has launched its first drive-thru outlet in the Klang Valley, according to a press release. This marks its second drive-thru restaurant in Malaysia, following the opening of its Sungai Petani drive-thru last year.It is situated at brand new outlet at Shell Sunway Mentari, which opens 24 hours. Envictus Holdings, which currently operates over 50 Texas Chicken restaurants in Malaysia and has opened five new restaurants this year, including the Drive-Thru outlet in Sunway Mentari.Dato’ Jaya Tan, chairman of Envictus International Holdings said the move comes after six years since the opening of its first restaurant in Malaysia. It seeks to elevate the dining experience of the customers by offering more drive-thru restaurants for their convenience.“Today, over 90% of Malaysian households own a car, thus it is a natural progression for the Texas Chicken family to expand our horizons further. With people’s hectic lifestyles in this day and age, we fully understand that consumers are constantly on-the-go and are looking for faster service and a hassle-free experience to help them get through the day,” he explained.Meanwhile, Yang Ming Ong, vice-president of Texas Chicken business said Malaysia is one of the top five countries for Texas Chicken globally and will be one of the showcase markets as it launches its new global brand positioning over 2019 and 2020.As Texas Chicken evolves its business model, the fast food chain aims to demonstrate its dedication to cater to the lifestyles of Malaysians and embrace the Malaysian food culture. Dato’ Jaya Tan added that the company is confident that the new outlet will be well-received by its consumers. Texas Chicken Sunway Mentari stands at 3,500 square feet with a seating capacity of 146.
