Luxury Italian brand TESTONI has launched its new concept store at K11 MUSEA and has invited member of boyband MIRROR Stanley Yau to showcase its unique brand spirit "Walk Your Own Path”.
Created by young entrepreneur Amedeo Testoni nearly a century ago, the TESTONI brand is dedicated to inspiring future generations of dreamers and doers to confidently craft their own life journey and #WalkYourOwnPath.
The brand invited Yau, who stood out as someone who embodies these values as he walked his own path to success, to showcase the new SS23 collection at the store as his tireless drive, confidence and courage to follow his dreams and passions echo TESTONI's brand spirit.
"I love the feeling of luxury and comfort – and I am very impressed by the brand's craftsmanship and attention to detail. Nearly 200 manual steps went into making the shoes I’m wearing today. This is a special technique that the brand invented, called Puima Rapid and its details like these that make TESTONI so exceptional,” said Yau.
The concept store is a sleek and contemporary space imbued with touches of Italian heritage. Inside the store, the use of different materials and finishes creates a stylish yet classic ambiance. Products are offset against stainless-steel back walls and showcased on large wooden display tables, interspersed with plush seating in Lambrusco, TESTONI’s brand colour.
To further elevate the customer experience, a special made-to-order (MTO) service will be launched exclusively at this concept store, enabling clients to customise their shoes based on their own personal style. According to the press release, the MTO experience is a first for TESTONI in Asia.
To bring the brand’s values to life, TESTONI has collaborated with Hong Kong-based artist Iswarya Venkatakrishnan on an artistic installation and photo moment that inspires customers to walk their own path and celebrate their unique journeys.
Available until 30 June, the immersive installation pays homage to the brand’s Italian roots, depicting six ‘walks of life’ inspired by people’s individual choices, from their profession to their unique personality traits. Venkatakrishnan chose six words to capture the essence of each of these journeys: "Daring" , "Joy", "Calm", "Passion", "Courage" and "Adventure". Visitors can discover which journey resonates the most with them.
Daring features the women’s Malvina Pump and celebrates those who dare to be different and live life on their own terms. Joy is inspired by colorful Italian markets buzzing with energy and life, championing those who find happiness in the small things. Calm features the women’s Matilda Oxford is a reminder to stop and smell the roses. Passion features the TESTONI ‘T’ pattern and showcases the women’s Volterra Sneaker, representing the drive, dedication and unwavering passion of entrepreneurs. Courage features the men’s formal leather Derby shoe, representing the courage of those taking on the world and reaching great heights to achieve their dreams.
