
Telkom Indonesia launches programmatic ad platform

Telkom Indonesia has launched a telco data-based programmatic advertising solution under the name AdXelerate. AdXelerate aims to provide a solution for advertisers to promote digital advertising that are more targeted, efficient and based on telco data.
Available via Telkom's subsidiary Metra Digital Media (MDMedia), AdXelerate will offer several features such as a comprehensive audience profile and demographic attribution processed through big data analytics. It can also optimise ads directly in real time within milliseconds. All of which aims to provide flexibility and efficiency for advertisers.
In addition, the platform provides the advantage of the re-targeting process by sharpening the segmentation of the intended target audience through big data analytic learning process. This in turn is able to increase conversions according to the goals expected by advertisers.

At the same time, the platform is designed with the top priority of compliance with privacy regulations referring to the personal data protection law. AdXelerate comes as TelkomGroup continue to innovate by utilising data-driven digital technology to increase the competitiveness of companies in Indonesia.
"AdXelerate is the result of TelkomGroup's collaboration between MDMedia and Telkomsel which is able to accelerate advertising promotions from customers to be more targeted and efficient through the application of big data analytics," said Telkom Group business development director Honesti Basyir.
"This service can help advertisers face modern challenges in digital marketing today by analysing insights from diverse telco data. Through the use of AdXelerate, advertisers can deliver optimal, effective, and efficient results, while complying with customer privacy policies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," added MDMedia president director Arif Prabowo.
Earlier in September, Telkom and SingTel's Telkomsel launched a co-branded credit card with UOB Indonesia.
The UOB Telkomsel credit card combines the two companies' brands and services and seek to enable customers to enjoy a connected digital lifestyle, embodying the essence of "Lifestyle Connected".
The UOB Telkomsel credit card is designed to complement the modern lifestyle and connect customers through a variety of special benefits. Some of the benefits include triple UOB Points for every IDR 2,000 spent on Telkomsel Halo and Cinema XXI Bill Payment as well as retail transactions in the merchant categories of dining, fashion, department store and overseas transactions.
The co-branded card comes as Indonesia witnessed a tremendous growth in the eCommerce market that's driven by increasing internet penetration, according to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
