Malaysian bubble tea brand Tealive is reportedly aiming to penetrate the Indonesian market by year-end. This is if the brand manages to hit its target of 100 Tealive stores in the Philippines by the third quarter (Q3) of 2024, it reportedly said.

Tealive, which is owned by Loob Holding, reportedly has 57 established stores in the Philippines. It plans to open 43 more stores by 3Q, founder and chief executive officer Bryan Loo reportedly said at a press conference held in Malaysia.

According to Bernama, Loo reportedly said that the company has been planning to penetrate three new markets each year, with one being a Southeast Asian country.

He reportedly added that the eating habits and palates of the people are similar. This in turn has helped the bubble tea brand to expand its market in the Philippines.

Recently, Tealive transformed the 48-storey TSLaw Tower into a virtual display of the largest bubble tea cup to introduce its new tagline, 'Brewing Positivity'.

The tea brand turned two facades of the building into a virtual display of a bubble tea cup. The other two facades of the tower sported static displays of the brand's new tagline and other messages.

"We wanted to unleash the power of this tagline and take it to new heights through inspiring stories of Tealive, while celebrating the Malaysian spirit of unity. This is what #TealiveBrewingPositivity is all about," said Bryan Loo, founder and CEO of brand owner Loob.

"We are all incredibly excited and proud to share this new chapter of Tealive. One that will help many people around Malaysia experience positivity through our unique, flavourful drinks," he added.
