Starbucks Singapore has launched a Mobile Order & Pay (MO&P) feature on its app, at 32 selected stores across the island. These include the stores in Central Business District (CBD), Suntec City and Marina Bay Sands, in a bid to further connect with local customers through different touch points and innovations. With plans to roll out the feature across Starbucks Singapore outlets islandwide by March 2020, customers will be able to place their orders and pick it up at the store. This new service allows customers to beat the queue and earn rewards with the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program. The MO&P feature will be accessible through the Starbucks Singapore mobile app. Marketing has reached out for additional information on its marketing efforts.Patrick Kwok, general manager, Starbucks Singapore said the team is consistently on the lookout for new ways to enhance its retail offerings and experience for customers. Aware of the busy lifestyles customers lead here in Singapore, Kwok added that this new feature was developed to prioritise convenience and efficiency."Innovation has always been a key ingredient of Starbucks’ culture and we are ready to take on the challenge of introducing new technologies and tools, like MO&P, to help make our customers’ experience at Starbucks even more enjoyable," he said. This year, Starbucks has also invested in building further partnerships to expand its food and beverage as well as lifestyle products. It collaborated with local ice-cream parlor, Udders, to develop Cold Brew ice cream, and vanilla ice cream that is then infused into Starbucks beverages.Earlier this year, the coffee giant also worked with local influencer Christabel Chua, otherwise known as Bellywellyjelly, to sell her merchandise branded “kai” in Starbucks’ stores across the country. The Starbucks branded products were launched on 28 January 2019 and were exclusively sold in physical stores. These products include Frappuccino-shaped keychains, card holders and lanyard card holders.Read also: More Starbucks stores to have content filters to block explicit sites Starbucks to lay off 350 corporate staff as part of organisational shake-up Starbucks plans to save US$50m with ‘greener stores’ initiative
