Southside by Ovolo unveils exclusive rugby experience featuring Australian players

With the Rugby Sevens set for 28 to 30 March, Hong Kong designer boutique hotel Southside by Ovolo has launched an exclusive experience for fans to meet rugby stars.

According to the release, Australian Wallabies players Drew Mitchell, Adam Ashley-Cooper, and Matt Giteau, along with the team behind the rugby podcast Kick Offs and Kick Ons (KOKO), will be involved. The team behind KOKO, featuring experience in Super Rugby and Top 14, boasts over 250 international caps. They have participated in the Rugby World Cup, with Mitchell being Australia's leading World Cup try-scorer, Ashley-Cooper a beloved player with 121 caps, and Giteau’s overseas achievements inspiring "Giteau’s Law”.

On the night of 27 March, just before the Rugby Sevens, KOKO will host an exclusive meet-and-greet party at Southside By Ovolo. Participants are expected to enjoy an evening of rugby discussions, stories, and insights as Wallabies players share their memorable moments and break down the Sevens action over drinks. This event aims to offer an opportunity for fans to engage in rugby conversations while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the weekend.

To further engage with the rugby fans, Southside by Ovolo has launched an exclusive stay experience, enabling fans to stay under the same roof as the rugby icons. Guests who book directly at the hotel’s website between 14 February to 30 March for stays between 26 March to 2 April will be able to stay under the same roof as these players. Every stay includes priority KOKO event admission and a free drink, daily transfers to Kai Tak Stadium, and Ovolo’s standards and essentials inclusions.
