Singtel Singapore has launched a new content series to inspire local entrepreneurs to scale their businesses with Singtel’s connectivity solutions. The series, "Towkay Tok", shines a spotlight on Singaporean business owners who have advanced their businesses using technology.
Hosted by Singtel Singapore’s deputy CEO and CEO of Business Development, Anna Yip, each three-minute episode features a discussion with one personality on various topics covering their entrepreneurial journey. The common thread in these stories is how Singtel’s connectivity solutions have transformed their businesses.
“Through this series, we want to showcase how successful local business owners are leveraging digital solutions to take their businesses to greater heights, as well as inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs through real-life success stories,” said Yip.

The pilot episode featured multi-hyphenate singer-songwriter-comedian-scriptwriter-YouTube personality, Annette Lee, who candidly shared how she used technology to craft a career that would not have existed a decade ago, as well as how the rise of digital connectivity has allowed her to explore her creative pursuits.
Yip added:
As a homegrown leading technology company, we want to help these companies drive growth in the digital era, in line with our purpose to empower every generation.
Subsequent episodes, launched monthly on Singtel’s TikTok and Instagram social media accounts, will feature founders of local enterprises such as Ivan Heng, founder and artistic director of WILD RICE, one of Singapore's leading professional theatre companies, as well as Ryan Chioh, managing director of Far East Flora, Singapore’s leading florist.
The series will also feature Jason Ng, executive director of Swee Heng Bakery, one of Singapore’s most popular bakeries which has grown to over 70 outlets islandwide over the years.
A special episode featuring National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)’s secretary-general Ng Chee Meng has also been launched recently. This follows Singtel and NTUC’s recent partnership to provide connectivity to NTUC members, especially youths and professionals, managers and executives.
Created entirely in-house, the ‘Towkay Tok’ series can be found on Singtel’s TikTok and Instagram social media accounts.
The campaign ultimately spotlights Singtel’s curated digital solutions for small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. These include mobility and connectivity tools, as well as cybersecurity solutions and resilience programmes that will help protect businesses against the cyberthreat landscape.
