Singapore Heart Foundation picks new marketing and public relations agency

Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) has appointed Ruder Finn as its marketing and public relations agency. Beginning January 2025, Ruder Finn and SHF will collaborate to raise awareness, advocacy and support cardiovascular health in Singapore.
As the official communications partner, Ruder Finn will oversee a range of initiatives, including media relations and external communications. The agency has also been tasked to elevate SHF's profile and enhance its reputation among key stakeholders and position SHF has a leading advocate for cardiovascular health policy, patient advocacy and lifesaving initiatives.
In addition, the collaboration aims to strengthen relationships with both mainstream and digital media, with a targeted focus on vernacular media to connect effectively with Malay and Indian communities.

Established in 1970, SHF is a social service agency dedicated to combating heart disease through its three core pillars: prevention, rehabilitation and resuscitation. With a mission to promote heart health and alleviate the impact of cardiovascular disease and stroke, SHF aims to empower individuals with evidence-based practices and lifesaving initiatives to prevent premature loss of life.
On top of raising awareness, SHF provides financial assistance to heart patients in crisis situations, ensuring they receive the timely support and medical care they need.
Most recently, the organisation partnered with Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council, Singapore Red Cross and other training partners in October 2024 to certify insurance agents, property agents and members of the public with CPR+AED training. The training equipped these groups of people with the skills to respond to cardiac arrest casualty.
These individuals were chosen as they are often on the go and frequently interact with a wide cross-section of the community as they visit various locations throughout the day. This win comes after Ruder Finn Asia named Witte as its new general manager of SEA corporate practice in July. Pamela Phua was also appointed alongside Witte, taking on the of general manager of Ruder Finn Singapore.
