Singapore’s ice cream brand The Ice Cream & Cookie Co. (ICC) has officially landed in Hong Kong with a new concept store, bringing its signature "better for you" ice cream creations to the city's discerning taste buds.

Despite the geographical difference, Hong Kong shares many cultural similarities with Singapore, including a love for food and desserts. In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Natasha Chiam, co-founder of The Ice Cream & Cookie Co., said she believes Hong Kong’s discerning consumers will appreciate the brand's  commitment to quality, freshness, and innovative flavours.

"In recent years, Hong Kong has noticed a growing population of health-conscious consumers seeking alternatives to traditional ice cream. ICC's 'better for you' scoop, focuses on using only the freshest high quality ingredients, with reduced sugar, to create wholesome treats that are still indulgent and tasty, aligning well with this shift," she added.

Known for indulgent ice cream sandwiches and pints featuring original Asian-inspired flavours as well as a wide range of plant-based and dairy-free options, ICC is set to open its first concept store in Hong Kong this October in Central’s Gough Street.

The bright and inviting two-storey space will offer scoops, pints, and sandwiches for take-away as well as an extensive menu of coffee, tea, ice cream, desserts, and more to enjoy in its bistro-style seating area.

ICC's product line in Hong Kong will feature the brand's signature ice cream sandwiches and pints, showcasing a range of Asian-inspired flavours and textures. These delectable treats are now available at Circle K, ParknShop, AEON, and YATA.

Highlights of the dine-in menu include the signature Onde Onde Brulee and Sticky Date Pudding, the latter based on a recipe from Chiam’s mother. With a bright white palette punctuated by navy blue and gold accents, ICC Hong Kong is set to transport diners to the streets of Paris as they indulge in Asia’s sweetest and tastiest creations.

"Fueled by a spirit of innovation, ICC is committed to challenging the status quo and becoming the leading challenger ice cream brand across Asia. We're dedicated to pushing boundaries, exploring the Asian-inspired flavours, delivering an ice cream brand that tastes amazing, and stands for quality and care that sets us apart," Chiam added.

“We're thrilled to introduce our beloved ice cream creations to Hong Kong, our second international market, and the first to feature our unique concept store. This expansion marks a major milestone in our journey to become Asia's premier 'better for you' ice cream brand. We're confident that Hong Kong's sophisticated taste buds will savor our commitment to quality, freshness, and innovative flavors.” said Chiam.

As ICC makes its Hong Kong debut, it remains true to its humble beginnings as a farmers’ market stall, focusing on crafting thoughtful products with consumers' wellbeing in mind.

The brand has arrived Lion City brand made its presence in Hong Kong in August at local Circle K stores, selling its delectable and sugary ice-cream cookie sandwiches with flavours such as double chocolate, yuzu, mint chocolatewatermelon, mango mochi, and vanilla bean
