Local creative agency Kinetic Singapore has launched a campaign titled #ThankYouDeliveryHeroes, which aims to encourage Singaporeans to show their appreciation for delivery workers. The agency created 24 posters for Singaporeans to print and place it at their doorstep. Each poster showed appreciation for the delivery person's hard work, and reminded them to take a break as well.

Kinetic also created a website for the campaign where Singaporeans can download the posters. The website urged Singaporeans to give a little extra appreciation and support beyond giving five stars to the delivery workers. "Deliveries may now be contactless, but they don’t have to be heartless," it added.

The campaign was created by Kinetic's creative team, who are frequent recipients of delivery packages. Since the increased implementation of contactless delivery, the team wanted to come up with a way to show their appreciation in another way. In a statement to Marketing, a spokesperson from Kinetic Singapore said the idea was inspired by one of its designers, who wondered aloud about how cold delivery services have become since they implemented the contactless feature. The designer suggested creating posters for the delivery workers, which the team found meaningful. It took the team about a week to write and design the posters, as well as to launch the website. "This is really a ground-up initiative with a simple goal: to show our appreciation for delivery workers, and hopefully get as many people as we can to show them love too," the spokesperson added.

Here are some of the posters created by Kinetic:

The campaign has seen Singaporeans not only printing the posters, but also designing their own. Kinetic has also been posting updates on its Facebook and Instagram platforms. According to the agency, cafes and restaurants have took part in this initiative as well. The agency added that some Singaporeans who do not have a printer hand-drew the posters, while others who do not have a colour printer turned it into a colouring activity for their children.

Kinetic Singapore joins the number of brands and agencies showing appreciation to front-line workers. Most recently, Google expressed its thanks through its Google Doodle, which shows it sending love to food service workers. The doodle is then linked to a separate search results page with the phrase “thank you coronavirus helpers” in the search bar.

Singapore agency 72andSunny previously launched a series of pin badges which are designed and produced pro non, to show its support for healthcare workers as well. Each badge came with the note “Let’s show some love to our heroes on the frontline”, accompanied by the hashtag #MajulahMedics. Separately, Burger King Singapore gave away free burgers at National University Hospital to thank medical staff for their hard work, and to boost the morale for the individuals caring for the nation at its time of need. foodpanda Singapore also showed their appreciation digitally. In a Facebook post, it featured delivery workers from different companies such as Grab, McDonald’s, and PizzaHut standing together looking like a group of superheroes.
