Sephora picks former head of GetResponse Malaysia to push eCommerce growth

Sephora has appointed Mellissa Lee (pictured) as its new eCommerce lead, according to her LinkedIn seen by A+M.Lee was previously with international software company, GetResponse as head of the Malaysia market. In her previous role, based out of Malaysia, she was tasked to manage, develop and execute business and revenue strategy and opportunities in ASEAN.Prior to GetResponse, Lee helmed the role of a general manager - marketing at APAC's subscription-based eCommerce business called KFit. According to her LinkedIn, her responsibilities included co-coordinating and overseeing regional marketing campaigns, initiatives and activities across all of KFit's markets - Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Manila, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Auckland.In 2013, Lee was with messaging mobile app company, KakaoTalk as its country manager. In Malaysia, the office functions primarily for marketing duties. She oversaw the day-to-day operations of the business including managing a team of about 10 employees, monitoring and achieving targets. She was also in-charge of liaising with and leading the creative, media, digital, and event agencies, and analysing and interpreting usage analytics.Lee brings with her years of experience working with start-ups and brands. She has had stints with PerkPool, Zalora and Accenture. A+M has reached out to both Lee and Sephora for comment.
