Sephora Malaysia has collaborated with Zeno Group Malaysia and the production team of Graph Studios to launch its “MY Face, My Pride” Merdeka campaign. The campaign aims to encourage Malaysians on embracing self-love and diversity. The campaign kicks off with an online release of a Merdeka-themed video. The spot aims to drive the message of what faces mean as anak-anak Malaysia (Malaysian citizens), and why Malaysians put their best faces forward to the world, be it representing the country, being a game changer in the field of work or other scenarios. Inspired by the historical moment when Malaysia gained its independence 62 years ago, the video features four Malaysians from various walks of life. This includes national diver Pandelela Rinong, alongside fashion model and actress Rubini Sambanthan, graffiti artist Kenji Chai, and Ally Mukhriz who represents the working professionals while being a renowned presence in the social sphere.Based off the local insight on the Asian concept where “face” represents pride and dignity, Sephora looked to tie in the message of unity, and how as a country, Malaysians put on their best face forward in all that they do. Watch the clip here:In line with the campaign, Sephora has also ignited an activation online for Malaysians to share their story on what makes them a proud citizen. In conjunction with the Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, the campaign will run from 16 August to 25 September 2019.
