Regal Hotels International has joined forces with environmental organisation Friends of the Earth (HK) to launch an annual flagship programme that seeks to improve biodiversity and achieve carbon neutrality on 4 August, as part of their efforts towards sustainability.
Also known as “Tree Planting Challenge 2023”, Regal Hotels has formed a volunteer team comprising 80 employees from across the group, including Century City Holdings, Paliburg Holdings, Regal Real Estate Investment Trust, and Cosmopolitan International Holdings, to plant 700 trees at Tai Lam Country Park.
These collective efforts also mark a momentous milestone towards the group's continuous ESG practices, as the hotel works towards offsetting its carbon footprint, raising awareness and empowering the wider communities, extending to society.
Moving forward, Regal Hotels is looking forward to having more engagement in environmental stewardship and continuous collaboration with like-minded partners to advance this cause and call everyone to co-create a greener future.

Apart from the real world, Regal Hotels has also contributed its efforts towards building a greener future in the virtual world. Regal Hotels is the first eco-friendly hotel built in MetaGreen, the first green metropolis in The Sandbox. The first phase of the development was officially launched on 12 January. Partners such as Hang Seng Bank, UOB Hong Kong, City Super Group and The Mills also joined hands to foster a diversified green ecosystem and nurture a sustainable circular economy to contribute to the community and the environment.
