Publicis Groupe has appointed Jane Lin-Baden (pictured) as CEO Publicis Groupe for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Meanwhile, Loris Nold, CEO Publicis Groupe APAC/MEA, has been appointed to the newly created role of CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
According to Publicis Groupe, Lin-Baden will be adding oversight of South Asia, Australia/ New Zealand and Southeast Asia to her responsibilities, reporting directly to chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe Arthur Sadoun. She will work in close partnership with the local leaders in their respective regions, who will report directly to her, to further strengthen the Groupe’s country-led model, and leverage its capabilities in data, creativity, media and technology, at the service of its clients.
Lin-Baden is currently CEO of Publicis Groupe North Asia comprising Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan and joined the global management committee in January. She brings over 22 years of management experience in digital and technology, with international and large Asian brands – then joined Publicis Groupe in November 2018 as managing partner of Publicis Groupe APAC. In that role, she was based in Shanghai, reporting to Nold.
Meanwhile, Nold will oversee all European operations and markets while continuing to supervise the Middle East and Africa, and continue to report directly to Sadoun. Nold joined the team in 2003 and was initially based in Paris, starting out as VP, focusing on M&A and a number of strategic initiatives. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of Publicis Groupe, APAC & MEA.
Other global leadership appointments include Talia Raviv, CEO of PMX, expanding her remit to oversee the Groupe's global media operations; Monica Gadsby, CEO Publicis Groupe Latin America, adding oversight of the group’s activities in Brazil to her responsibilities; and Amy Hadfield, currently chief of staff to Arthur Sadoun, becoming director of global communications.
"With the Directoire+ I’d like to congratulate Lin-Baden, Nold, Raviv, Gadsby, and Hadfield on their new roles. Every one of them has been at the heart of Publicis’ transformation with us over the past five years, and will continue to work with all of our managers and teams across the group as we further accelerate to lead the change in our industry," Sadoun said.
