Porsche and PUMA release limited edition collection with Singaporean flair

Luxury car manufacturer Porsche and athletics brand PUMA are launching its special edition collaboration, the PUMA x Porsche Legacy collection in Singapore.

The collaboration comes to celebrate the golden jubilee of the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo. As part of the celebration, Mandeep Chopra, sneaker head and founder of Singaporean footwear retailer Limited Edt, has reimagined the PUMA x Porsche legacy suede torque with a unique touch of Singaporean flair.

The limited-edition shoes now feature Singapore's national flower - the Vanda Miss Joaquim. The flower's representation of Singapore’s uniqueness and diverse culture, coupled with its timeless appeal akin to the Porsche 911 Turbo, makes it a fitting motif for this special collaboration, it said in a statement.

Additionally, the motif is deeply ingrained in Limited Ed's identity, recognising its historical significance and relevance, particularly in the context of Singapore's cultural tapestry.

Furthermore, each pair of sneakers will be housed in a crafted shoe box, featuring the Vanda Miss Joaquim motif alongside the '1974' graphic. The '1974' graphic commemorates the year Porsche unveiled the 911 Turbo at the Paris fashion show.

The limited-edition collection comprises 74 pairs of 'sport yellow suede' and 119 pairs of 'alpine snow suede'. To enhance the exclusivity of the launch, each sneaker will be individually numbered.

"PUMA is thrilled to partner with Porsche Legacy in commemorating the golden jubilee of the legendary Porsche 911 Turbo", said Eleanor Wang, director marketing, SEA.

"This collaboration marries PUMA's commitment to innovative design and performance with Porsche's rich heritage of luxury and craftsmanship. The incorporation of Singaporean inspiration, as seen in the Vanda Miss Joaquim motif, adds a unique touch that resonates with both local and global enthusiasts."

The Singapore-exclusive PUMA x Porsche Legacy collection is now available for pre-orders at the Porsche Singapore online store and limitededt.com. It is priced at S$169.

This isn't Porsche and PUMA's first collaboration. Last year, the brands collaborated to release a batch of limited-edition sneakers, part of a kaleidoscope collection.

The collaboration was created as part of ’Dreams in Colours’, a celebration of three decades of enduring Porsche passion in Thailand.

The kaleidoscopic sneaker collection was designed to complement the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS part of an exclusive collection made to honour the vibrant Kingdom of Thailand. The sports car was made available in seven different colours, each representing the colour of the day in Thai culture.

Similar to the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, the Porsche x PUMA ‘Dreams in Colours’ edition comes in seven bright hues; signal yellow, ruby star, signal Green, pastel orange, riviera blue, ultraviolet and fire red.

In a nod to the year that Thailand became an official Porsche importer in 1993, only 1,993 sneakers were created as part of the collaboration.
