PHD Indonesia hires dentsuX's Nadia Zain as GM

PHD Indonesia has appointed Nadia Zain (pictured) as general manager in a bid to sharpen the agency's focus on continued growth in the marketplace. In her new role, Zain will lead PHD Indonesia across all business functions, reporting to Rajat Basra, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Indonesia. She commences her new role on 1st January 2019. Zain is no stranger to Omnicom Media Group Indonesia, having started her career with the group and developed key skills and capabilities during her tenure with its agencies. She recently returned to the group from dentsu X, where she led on digital transformation for the agency’s clients. Basra said: “We are delighted to welcome Zain back to the network and look forward to working with her closely on taking PHD to the next level in this market. Zain knows us well, having worked with the Group in the past. Therefore, she will take no time to start contributing her valuable experience to our clients’ briefs and teams’ development. She will ultimately build on the strong foundation of talent and capabilities that PHD has already established in Indonesia.” James Hawkins, CEO of PHD APAC, added: “I am incredibly pleased to have Zain lead our PHD Indonesia operation; she demonstrates all the attributes of a modern-day agency leader. It’s wonderful we have promoted from within the business. In a high growth-market like Indonesia, I am confident that, with the support of a strong leadership team, we’ll take PHD to the next level. Our commitment is to build upon the strong momentum in Southeast Asia by developing our capabilities and delivering a progressive product across the region.” Zain's move comes months after Omnicom Media Group’s PHD appointed Hawkins as CEO of its operations in Asia Pacific (APAC). Hawkins also joined the network from dentsu X where he was managing director APAC and brings over 15 years of experience in advancing digital practices. This includes driving digital transformation at creative and media agencies, including 10 years in APAC. Zain added: “PHD is an agency with an edge, rooted in innovation and strategic planning. I am excited to be back and look forward to working with the team on taking PHD to even greater heights of excellence.”
