In a bid to increase accessibility to dental health, Pepsodent has launched a new initiative titled, ‘Now Everyone Can #TalkToADentist’.
According to a statement to the press, Pepsodent pointed out that an estimated 2.4 billion people have limited access to dental care, and hence it is filling this gap by providing free tele-dental consultations in key markets. Additionally, Pepsodent will be working with dentistry partners to provide access to rural communities, all while promoting regular dental checkups.
The campaign will be activated in over 10 markets and the brand will be taking a fully integrated approach, utilising TV commercials as well as billboards to help raise awareness of the importance of oral health.
With this initiative, the brand also aims to provide quality dental health advice and care to everyone, regardless of their financial situations particularly after finding that teledentistry has the potential to ‘revolutionise' oral healthcare access for millions of people around the world, especially in developing and emerging countries.

The ultimate goal, as stated by Pepsodent, is to give 200 million people the opportunity to see a dentist by 2025, driven by teledentistry.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for a comment.
Inspired by its findings, Pepsodent hopes to reach millions particularly through its strategic partnership with the FDI World Dental Federation, a partnership it has held since 2005, to jointly organise free dental checkups and dental camps in 2023. This is in celebration of World Oral Health Day which was held on 20 March.
In addition, Pepsodent has strategic teledentistry partnerships with Indonesia and Vietnam. Using its packaging and commercials to direct consumers to these platforms, these partnerships aim at providing people with free consultations and healthcare advice.
Following that, limited edition packs will be available in countries such as Bangladesh where consumers can redeem free dental checkups by dialing a hotline available on the pack and being directed to the nearest partner dentist.
Finally, Pepsodent will collaborate with local governments and NGOs in countries to gain access to school programs and increase accessibility to education.
Kartik Chandrasekhar, global lead for Pepsodent and Oral Care Category head said that Pepsodent’s mission is to improve lives by providing easy access to quality oral healthcare, which drives its business performance. “We believe everyone deserves a healthy and bright smile, and our products are designed to help make this a reality. Our commitment to providing affordable and effective oral care solutions is at the heart of everything we do,” he added,
