Peninsula Hotels debuts “Art in Resonance” global art programme

The Peninsula Hotels has appointed global brand experience agency Jack Morton to support the activation of its global contemporary art programme “Art in Resonance” during Hong Kong art month. (Photo Credit:Simon J Nicol) Previously never before seen art installations were launched during Art Basel Hong Kong on 26 March at The Peninsula Hong Kong and will remain on display for visitors until 21 June. The launch event featured four specially commissioned artworks by internationally renowned artists and were seen by over 1000 guests. Jack Morton helped create a unique viewing experience for attending guests, providing them with the opportunity to engage with the artwork in person. The agency oversaw the activation and provided design support with the brand identity of the programme and launch event. A selection of pieces from the Hong Kong launch will next travel to The Peninsula Paris in the autumn of 2019 before visiting other Peninsula properties around the globe, where they will be joined by additional, newly commissioned installations from local artists to promote the rich and vibrant culture of each city. Carson Glover, vice president, branding marketing and communications at The Peninsula Hotels, stated that The Peninsula was committed to promoting the cultural aspects of each of its destination cities, and encouraging creative-minded guests to experience and see the world through “a new and exciting lens”. “The Art in Resonance campaign sets us apart, making us the only hotel company to commission original works that are painstakingly curated to comprise a travelling collection,” Glover said. The multi-year programme sees year-round events including artist and curator talks, showcases of exclusive international and local artworks, and a series of activations at The Peninsula properties worldwide.
