Cycle & Carriage Singapore is introducing the ORA Good Cat 03 Electric Vehicle to the Singapore EV market with a playful cat-inspired campaign that includes a mascot and cat puns to depart from the convention of sleek car launches.

The campaign was done in collaboration with creative agencies designory and Havas Media Singapore which uses various feline mascots all named Good Cat to personify the ORA vehicle’s eco-friendliness, style and performance.

"We were intentional in portraying the playful side of the ORA Good Cat 03 Electric every step of the way - from its stylish design to its cheeky moniker,” said Dawn Pan, chief operating officer of multi-franchise operations, Cycle & Carriage Singapore.

“We’re thrilled to infuse the EV market with new life, bringing the ORA Good Cat's vibrant charm to our active and young-at-heart consumers through an exciting campaign,” she continued.

The cat mascots will be placed in comedic scenarios to showcase its mischievous feline antics to intertwine the powerful and playful nature of automotive innovation for the ORA Good Cat 03. One of the posters show a cat sleeping on top of the car’s hood with the tagline “Dogs are man’s best friend. Cats are mankind’s ally.”

“There’s nothing like cats, and a Good Cat at that, to inspire refreshing and electrifying ideas. The team has certainly created many wonderful meow-ments working with cats,” said Joyce Chen, managing director of designory Singapore.

The campaign will span across digital, social, OOH and radio platforms, said Louise Koh, general manager of Havas Media Singapore.

To commemorate the launch of the EV, a convoy of ORA Good Cat 03 Electric cars have embarked on an eight-day adventure covering over 4,000km across Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, which will culminate in an arrival at Cycle & Carriage Singapore’s Alexandra Road showroom.

Similarly, Samsung also used our feline friends in a campaign they did in April this year. Samsung and creative agency BBH Singapore have partnered up to highlight how Samsung's latest flagship TV can "wow" even the world's grouchiest cat in its latest global campaign.

Created by BBH Singapore, the campaign video starts with the cat Bebo at the balcony watching a brand-new Neo QLED 8K being delivered – and reacting with a "wow". Unsure of what has so impressed Bebo, his owner embarks on a series of increasingly elaborate and desperate attempts hoping to make the cat say "wow" again. Just as nothing works and the man is about to give up, he switches on the Neo QLED 8K, and the rest is history.
