Ooh Media has secured a long-term deal with the City of Parramatta to manage its street furniture network, adding to its growing portfolio of outdoor advertising across Australia's fast-growing urban centres.

The agreement will see Ooh Media OOH ad services for hundreds of bus shelters across Parramatta. The company will also roll out a digital screen upgrade program to enhance existing infrastructure and add new high-impact ad solutions.

With a local economy valued at $32.3 billion and a projected population increase to 450,000 by 2050, Parramatta has evolved into a key economic, business and cultural hub. The city has attracted more than $10 billion in public and private investment since 2018.

Major corporations are relocating their headquarters to the area and it is home to Powerhouse Parramatta, the largest cultural infrastructure project in New South Wales since the Sydney Opera House, expected to attract two million visitors annually.

As part of the deal, Ooh Media will refurbish some 200 bus shelters, install new greenfield sites featuring double-sided digital panels and introduce freestanding digital screens along high-traffic pedestrian corridors. The City of Parramatta will also be able to use the network’s digital assets for community messaging, increasing public benefit.

Robbie Dery, chief commercial operating officer at Ooh Media, said the investment in digital infrastructure will provide advertisers with unparalleled access to western Sydney’s booming population.

“Parramatta is one of the fastest developing business and cultural centres in Australia, and we’re delighted to continue our partnership with the City of Parramatta to deliver best-in-class Out of Home infrastructure,” Dery said.

Last year, Ooh Media secured Australia’s largest single street furniture deal with Victoria’s Department of Transport and Planning, which covers metropolitan Melbourne. It also expanded its presence in Sydney with contracts for the newly launched Sydney Metro and key local government areas, including Woollahra, Waverley, and the Northern Beaches.
