American pop rock band OneRepublic is taking fans behind the scenes of its new Singapore track. Done in collaboration with Universal Music Group Singapore (UMSG) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the behind-the-scenes video shines a light on the inspiration behind the ethereal track.
The video was filmed during the band's visit at the recent Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024 and features frontman and lead singer Ryan Tedder and keyboardist Brian Willett exploring the city.
It also offers a glimpse of how the city state's architecture and experiences have influenced the track. The video features the duo in a mixture of locations such as Marina One, Peranakan Museum, Armenian Street and Old Hill Street Police Station.

The song, titled Singapore, is a fully instrumental track and is inspired by the colourful juxtaposition of the modern and heritage buildings set in this cultural melting pot.
"With this track specifically, it's an external portrayal of creativity," said Willet, who was the primary songwriter of Singapore.
"The first time I heard Singapore fully mixed, I could see buildings shooting up from the ocean, the streets, the tapestry of creativity," said Tedder.
The video is available across OneRepublic's, UMSG and STB's social media platforms. The song is available on all major music platforms and is featured on the album Artificial Paradise.
The duo will also be releasing an official visualiser video for the track, shot entirely in Singapore.
“The Singapore track beautifully pays homage to our city's essence – a harmonious blend of heritage and modernity. Inspired by the creativity and ingenuity of the track, we invite listeners worldwide to immerse in the journey that this track takes you through, in the vibrant and eclectic tapestry that Singapore offers," said Choo Huei Min, executive director, brand, Singapore Tourism Board.
This isn't the first time STB has collaborated with a music artist. Earlier in June this year, it collaborated with K-pop boy group GOT7's member Mark Tuan to launch travel content that captures Singapore's hidden charms.
Tuan's popularity in Southeast Asia grew after he embarked on a solo Asia tour, performing in countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The travel content, comprising cinematic videos and vlogs, showcases Tuan experiencing the sights of Singapore's signature tourist attractions, as well as experiencing various activities and cuisine, both during the day and at night.
In the cinematic video, Tuan visits Cloud Forest, S.E.A Aquarium, Haji Lane, Tanjong Beach Club, HyperDrive, Lau Pa Sat, and the Helix Bridge.
