Omnicom Retail Group's Red Urban SG names Dinesh Sandhu MD

Red Urban, an agency under Omnicom Retail Group, has appointed Dinesh Sandhu as its managing director in Singapore. According to his LinkedIn, Sandhu will be involved in research, strategy, design, communications, and brand experience at Red Urban Singapore. Red Urban Singapore has declined to comment on Marketing's queries.  

According to its website, Red Urban centres on retail innovation from data to decision. Its parent agency, Omnicom Retail Group specialises, in digital commerce, predictive targeting, loyalty rewards using smart data and CRM using expertise in downstream communications execution (advertising, shopper marketing) to upstream solutions (brand and packaging design, customer panels, consulting). Some of the brands Red Urban works with are PepsiCo, HP, and SC Johnson.

Sandhu was most recently the managing director at branding agency DIA Brands Singapore, where he helmed the role for three years. He join the agency in 2017, and was tasked to drive its agenda in looking at the digital strategy of the group, and the future development of the network. According to his LinkedIn, some of the brands DIA Brands bagged during Sandhu's time included Coca-Cola ASEAN, Maybank Singapore, Fullerton Health, Healthway Medical, OUE Lippo, and Brunei Investment Agency. 

Prior to his time at DIA Brands Singapore, Sandhu was regional director, strategy and media, SEA, at Hakuhodo Communications Asia. During that period, he was tasked with strategic planning, digital, integrated media, activation, new business, revenue stream extension, and training. He was also involved in setting up standalone media operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
