ntv7’s Daddy Dearest nominated at the Seoul International Drama Awards

It was a rip-roaring victory once again for Malaysia when ntv7’s popular Chinese drama series ‘Daddy Dearest’ was nominated for the 10th Seoul International Drama Awards which will take place on 10th September 2015 at the MBC Outdoor Plaza in Seoul.‘Daddy Dearest’ was one of the dramas that were shortlisted in the Serial Drama Category out of the 212 submissions from 48 countries. The other dramas that were nominated include ‘Deng Xiaoping and China at a Turning Point’ (China), ‘Home Away from Home’ (Taiwan), ‘The Journey – Tumultuous Times’ (Singapore) and ‘Yuna’s Street’ (South Korea).Daddy Dearest tells the story of how Zhuang Zhi Yao, the owner of a clothing factory, takes charge of his family and protects them from the many storms in life. Although he was not able to continue running the factory which he had built from scratch, he managed to reunite his family members as the head of the household.Since its launch in 2006, the Seoul International Drama Awards has organized world-class drama awards ceremonies to recognize and honour the best television dramas and variety shows from across the world. IT is sponsored by the Korean Broadcasters Association, Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) and other TV stations.“ntv7’s Chinese dramas has always gained and maintained their high ratings, thanks to the audiences for their continuous support. The nomination also serves as a great source of inspiration to our local production and celebrities,” said Airin Zainul, Group General Manager of ntv7 & 8TV.
