Novartis hands global media duties to Starcom and Epsilon

Global healthcare company Novartis has appointed Publicis Groupe’s Starcom and Epsilon for global media duties. Starcom is the incumbent, having served as Novartis’ media agency since 2010. Both agencies will work together to handle media planning, buying, data and analytics in 60 markets globally, effective 1 January 2020. This comes after a global pitch involving Publicis Groupe, Omnicom, Havas and WPP.To deliver data-driven marketing strategy and accelerate business transformation, Starcom and Epsilon created a bespoke solution: NovartisONE2. This integrated co-located solution aims to combine the capabilities of Starcom and Epsilon with Publicis Groupe’s expertise in healthcare marketing and media.John Sheehy, global brand president, Starcom Worldwide said similar to Novartis’ aim to reimagine medicine, the media agency too looks to reimagine and transform how data-driven marketing strategies are delivered for its clients. “Rooted in a data-led, digital-first approach, NovartisONE2 unites Starcom and Epsilon to deliver capability that is agile, collaborative and relentlessly focused driving business outcomes, along with delivering personalised experiences at scale for Novartis’ complex and evolving consumers,” he added.
