Chan will lead MTR Lab to bolster MTR Corporation’s ability to continue delivering world-class commuting experiences and building a carbon-neutral and sustainable smart community through technological investments and innovative solutions. At its core, MTR Lab looks to invest in, collaborate and co-create with like-minded partners working in mobility, retail, property, financial and data services, smart city technology and sustainability.
“I’m exhilarated to leverage the unique and well-supported platform of MTR Lab to contribute to the innovation and technology ecosystem, especially in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area,” said Chan. “Together with our partners, we look forward to exploring the many ways innovative and emerging technologies can help us unlock unimagined potential in keeping cities moving. Our unique position as an innovation investor allows us and our partners to deliver world-class commuting experiences, and co-create a carbon-neutral and sustainable smart community," Chan added.

Chan previously served as chief operating officer and managing director at Inchcape Greater China, managing overall operations and formulating strategies that ensured the continuous growth and success of the business. Additionally, Chan serves as an independent non-executive director of Integrated Waste Solutions Holdings, a listed company in Hong Kong that contributes towards building a more sustainable city through recycling.
As a chartered financial analyst, Chan was admitted as a fellow member of both the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand; as well as holding the qualifications of chartered alternative investment analyst and financial risk manager.
