MotoGP unveils new visual identity for 2025 season

Following the conclusion of the 2024 MotoGP season in Barcelona, where Jorge Martin claimed his maiden title, the championship has introduced a new visual identity for the upcoming 2025 season.

This move is part of MotoGP’s strategy to transition from a motorsport entity to a digital-first global entertainment brand.

The new visual identity was crafted in collaboration with Pentagram, an independent design studio. The redesign encompasses artwork, motion, typeface, as well as visual and verbal identity, aiming to appeal to both existing fans and a new generation of supporters.

The updated MotoGP logo comprises elements such as an 'M' inspired by two motorcycles leaning closely together, an 'O' signifying the geometry of wheels, and a 'T' representing the rider's position between the bikes, highlighting the connection between human and machine. The 'GP' retains a strong and sporty aesthetic, evocative of the track.

"Working on the new MotoGP identity has been an incredible honour. It was great to collaborate with the MotoGP team to reimagine this iconic brand, and impossible not to get caught up in the excitement of the competition and the people that shape it,” said Angus Hyland, creative director and partner at Pentagram,

“We’re very excited to reveal our new identity and invite fans around the world to meet the new MotoGP. Working with Pentagram has been an incredible adventure leading to what we hope our fans will agree is an incredible result," said Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports.

"A brand is more than a logo, and MotoGP is more than a sport. The process has taught us a lot about both and we’re very proud to show the world the results. The key question throughout has been, ‘What is MotoGP?’, both now and looking forward to who we want to be, and we hope this new identity communicates every aspect of that, from the speed to the passion and everything in between. This is MotoGP," Ezpeleta added.

The new visual identity will debut in the 2025 MotoGP season, which the organisation describes as a new chapter for the sport.
