These are the top 10 most mentioned brands on Instagram

ECommerce platform Shopee Singapore is the most mentioned brand on Instagram in Singapore. The brand was mentioned 909 times by 397 influencers and reached an audience of 5.2 million people on Instagram. 

This is according to research by influencer marketing platform HypeAuditor. As part of the research, HypeAuditor reviewed 765K posts made by 37.6k Instagram influencers from Singapore between 1 January to 15 May. The results identified which brand accounts were mentioned the most on Instagram. 

A mention refers to tagging an account using the "@" symbol either in the text of the post, or over the image.

The second brand doing well on Instagram is Sony Singapore. Sony Singapore is a local subsidiary of Sony Corporation, a multinational conglomerate known for its range of electronics, gaming, entertainment and financial services. 

According to HypeAuditor, Sony Singapore was mentioned 563 times by 174 influencers, reaching an audience of 4.2 million people. 

Coming in third is fast-fashion brand Shein Singapore. A fashion eCommerce platform in China, Shein is known for offering trendy and affordable clothing and accessories targeting young women. 

It was mentioned 520 times by 203 influencers, reaching 3.8 million people. 

Lazada Singapore, NTUC FairPrice and Marina Bay Sands come in at fourth, fifth and sixth positions. Lazada Singapore was mentioned 439 times by 161 influencers while NTUC FairPrice was mentioned 422 times by 261 influencers. Marina Bay Sands, on the other hand, was mentioned 401 times by 270 influencers. 

Boutique Fairs Singapore (398 mentions by 159 influencers), Klook Singapore (382 mentions by 183 influencers) and Charles & Keith (311 mentions by 184 influencers) comes after in seventh, eighth and ninth place. 

Love, Bonito takes the tenth place with 307 mentions by 169 influencers. 

Interestingly, Oreo has also been crowned the most popular snack brand on Instagram, with 9.7 million hashtags being used on the photo-sharing platform by Snipp Interactive. 

Kit Kat ranked second with 3.7 million hashtags and Snickers in third with 1.7 million hashtags.

Potato chip snack brand Doritos takes fourth place with 1.06 million hashtags, Hershey in fifth with 1.06 million hashtags, Ben & Jerry's in sixth (1.02 million hashtags) and Reese's in seventh (969k hashtags). 

Pringles, Lay's and Cheetos round out the bottom three with 904k, 795k and 784k hashtags respectively.
