McDonald's is sending fans on a search for missing paintings around Singapore. The campaign aims to excite customers and introduce the fast-food restaurant's new non-spicy Chicken McCrispy.

As part of the campaign, McDonald's Singapore has presented a total of four hidden pieces of artwork across Plaza Singapura and Funan, said a McDonald's Singapore spokesperson when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.

The campaign is currently only being rolled out on Instagram and serves as a foreshadow for the brand's television commercial. In addition, within the first of the two-day campaign, McDonald's Singapore saw 45 winners, added the spokesperson.

Winners who managed to find the missing artworks were rewarded with five free sets of two-piece Chicken McCrispy signature extra value meal.

In time to come, McDonald's Singapore will be releasing more activities to celebrate the launch of its latest addition to its menu line-up.

This is just one of many of McDonald's Singapore's Instagram-only campaign. Earlier in February, the fast-food brand added influencers to its close friends list on Instagram to announce the return of its well-loved McGriddles sandwiches.

A local influencer, known as Darshen, took to TikTok to share a screen grab of him being in McDonald's close friends list.

"I'm not delulu right? Or is it an intern's mistake?" asked Darshen in the video. He then clicks into the story which has a post by McDonald's saying, "No, you're not seeing things. Welcome to McGriddles close friends list."

Darshen then goes on to ask if this means that McGriddles, McDonald's famous breakfast sandwich of hotcake buns, cheese and sausage, is making a comeback.

Other influencers such as Kai and Vanessa Chia, also took to TikTok to share that they had been included in the exclusive list at the time.
