With the return of its beloved McGriddles range, McDonald's Singapore has collaborated with screen printing company Konstrukt Laboratories to make the delectable fan-favourite wearable.
In an Instagram post on Sunday (16 February), McDonald's unveiled its first-ever custom merchandise collaboration with Konstrukt. Singaporeans will be able to customise their own items, including jackets, canvas shoes, jeans, cotton shirts and tote bags, with five silkscreen-printed McGriddles-themed designs.
To qualify for the custom designs, the first 150 McDonald's fans are required to purchase a McGriddles feast in-store and flash their same-day receipt at McDonald's outlets in Jem and Bedok mall on 19 February and 20 February respectively.

McDonald's is no stranger to unique clothing drops. In October last year, the food giant released limited-edition Ronald and Grimace mismatched socks to put the fun in fundraising for McHappy Day 2024. The socks feature beloved McDonaldland characters Grimace and Ronald McDonald, with proceeds from the sale of socks going towards Ronald McDonald house charities (RMHC) Singapore, supporting families with seriously ill children.
Across the border, McDonald's Malaysia dropped limited-edition parkas in August 2024 as part of its "#McDDoDaDip Chicken McNuggets" campaign. The campaign aimed to generate excitement around the launch of its brand-new creamy lobster sauce and the return of its french cheese sauce, said McDonald's Malaysia when A+M reached out.Additionally, the brand aimed to expand its Chicken McNuggets consumer base, particularly among its primary target audience – Gen Z.
McDonald's isn't the only food and beverage brand to have made their products wearable. In November last year, Malaysian coffee chain ZUS Coffee collaborated with local clothing brand Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) to release a limited-edition collection.
The clothing collection included bowling shirts, socks and customisable oversized t-shirts. The bowling shirts and socks featured the brand's 'ZUS Buddy' such as Bean Boss, Blue Buddy, Choco Chipster, Frappe Fren, Pinky Boo and Porta Pal. The brand names could also be found on the socks and bowling shirts.
Prior to ZUS Coffee's release, apparel company adidas teamed up with Ya Kun Kaya Toast to unveil exclusive merchandise. The launch of the collaboration was timed with National Day in Singapore and saw the release of merchandise that locals could wear, carry or style with their favourite adidas pieces during time of celebrations.
The merchandise drop included vinyl heat-press graphic tees and hoodies as well as shoe charms and enamel pins inspired by Ya Kun menu items such as kaya butter toast, iced tea, soft boiled eggs. The hoodies were available exclusively on the Ya Kun Cherish App and social media platforms.
