McDonald's Indonesia unveils special Minecraft Movie Meal with collectible toys

McDonald's Indonesia is bringing the pixelated universe of Minecraft to life with the launch of its limited-time A Minecraft Movie Meal and an exclusive run of Happy Meal collectibles, just in time for the release of A Minecraft Movie in cinemas across the country.

Beloved by many, Minecraft's appeal lies in its open-ended creativity—an ethos McDonald's Indonesia is now channelling into a multi-sensory dining experience. Fans can collect specially designed toys, unlock in-game skins, and dive into an imaginative digital world—beginning with a burger.

"We're very excited to bring this collaboration to our customers in Indonesia," said Caroline Kurniadjaja, associate director of marketing at McDonald's Indonesia. "Minecraft isn't just a game—it's a world that fuels limitless creativity, which can now be collected and enjoyed in real life through this limited-edition A Minecraft Movie Meal. This collection is designed to inspire imagination, encourage new adventures, and, of course, spark creativity."

The A Minecraft Movie Meal is available from 7–27 April (while stocks last), timed to align with the Indonesian release of A Minecraft Movie on 9 April. Offered in two popular menu sets—Double Cheeseburger and PaNas 2 (rice, chicken, and drink combo)—each purchase includes A Minecraft Movie blind box.

Inside each blind box is one of six exclusive figures that blend iconic McDonald's items with familiar Minecraft elements: Big Mac Crystal, Birdie Wings, Fry HelmetGrimace Egg, Soda Potion, and Zombie Hamburglar. Each toy also comes with a unique code, redeemable for a corresponding in-game skin on Minecraft—bridging the real and digital worlds with a single snack.

From 28 March to 1 May, McDonald's Indonesia is also offering Minecraft Movie-themed Happy Meal aimed at younger explorers. The set includes exclusive collectible toys, Minecraft-styled pixelated packaging, and digital surprises accessible via QR code.

Children (and nostalgic adults) can collect ten toys inspired by five classic Minecraft characters—Creeper, Pink Sheep, Skeleton, Evoker, and Bee—plus five hidden mini figures encased in stackable blocks. The interactive design invites fans to build, mix, and match, echoing the game's core creative philosophy.

The themed Happy Meal box further enhances the experience of family bonding, extending from physical toys to an immersive digital journey. With one scan of the QR code, players enter a virtual Minecraft universe that mirrors the movie's adventurous tone.

"We hope this collaboration brings joyful moments for families in Indonesia and also inspires both children and adults to keep creating and exploring their imagination—both in the real and digital worlds," Kurniadjaja added. "The world is yours to build."

The A Minecraft Movie Meal is available across almost all McDonald's outlets in Indonesia—with the exception of certain locations including Ancol, Dufan, Gambir, Aceh, Gorontalo, and rest area restaurants. Orders can be made via dine-in, takeaway, Drive Thru, or online through McDelivery, GrabFood, GoFood, and ShopeeFood.
