Maxis opens its innovation centre to harness the potential of advanced technologies

Malaysian telecommunications company, Maxis, has officially launched the Maxis Business Innovation Centre.
It is a digitally immersive space designed to foster innovation and drive digital transformation for businesses.
Malaysia’s communications and digital minister, Fahmi Fadzil, was present at the launch, accompanied by Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, his secretary-general.
The centre will provide an opportunity for businesses of all sizes and across industries to harness the power of digital technology.
“My Ministry has been given the task to drive the digital economy forward in Malaysia as part of our strategic framework. This requires all stakeholders to play their role through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing,” said Minister Fahmi.

According to a release to the press, Minister Fahmi and his team from the Ministry were given a tour and briefing on the various industry use cases for manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, public safety and retail industries.
They included a 5G smart surveillance use case for emergency response, Smart Agriculture solution to increase farming efficiency, Smart Fulfilment for warehouse efficiency, as well as eCommerce solutions.
Goh Seow Eng, Maxis’ CEO said that the innovation centre has enormous potential to combine the power of technology and innovation to benefit its customers in their digital transformation journeys.
“We are committed to supporting the national digital agenda and look forward to leveraging this immersive environment to collectively generate innovative ideas, solutions and successful outcomes for businesses in Malaysia,” he added.
