A+M understands that Loh Keh Jiat is no longer joining Maxis. In October this year, the telco announced that Loh will be joining as CMO, effective 1 December, reporting to CEO Gokhan Ogut. Loh was also assigned to lead the consumer business division. He was previously with Digi for 12 years and helmed various positions including chief sales officer, head of postpaid, head of corporate strategy and broadband, and head of product marketing. A+M has reached out to Maxis for comment.
Loh has over 20 years of experience in the telco industry and has also led major transformation programmes in digitalising customer journeys and modernisation of sales and distribution in recent years. Before Digi, Loh was with Mobile-8 Indonesia and PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia.
The telco recently launched its Digital Readiness Index to help companies of all sizes across industries assess their level of digital readiness. In conjunction with the launch, Maxis and the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) are also collaborating on several initiatives through the ministry's agencies – National Entrepreneurship Institute, TEKUN Nasional and Co-operative Institute of Malaysia. The initiatives include offering digital solutions for the micro and SME segments.
Meanwhile, Maxis Business also expanded its voice and unified communications with its second acqui-hire deal, bringing on board Malaysia-based UC and voice cloud solutions company Audeonet. Audeonet was established in 2002 and has a team of certified IT professionals supporting the end-to-end deployment of solutions.
