Mannings celebrates CNY with flash coupon giveaway

In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, Mannings will launch a meet-and-greet flash event featuring the Mannings cat at 10 stores across Hong Kong.

Themed "Gifts worth giving" (送心意 大健事), the campaign is done in collaboration with PR agency L Concept Communications. It aims to encourage consumers to reward themselves after a year of hard work and express warm gratitude for the care and support they receive from their loved ones.

For five consecutive days, from 15 to 19 January, Mannings will launch the "Meet, greet and gift with Mannings Cat" (萬寧貓 送心意 大健事 快閃拜年團) flash event, where the fluffy, life-sized Mannings cat will appear at 10 designated Mannings stores for the first time.

Topped by a plump tangerine in a Chinese pun for "great luck and fortune" (大吉大利), the brand mascot will be dressed in red for this festive tour of Hong Kong, spreading goodwill at Mannings stores in Causeway Bay, Tai Koo, Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Yuen Long, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tuen Mun and Tsing Yi. 

The Mannings Cat will also share 4,000 limited-edition fai chun (揮春)– traditional Chinese New Year red paper decorations bearing an auspicious saying. The fai chun comes with Mannings coupons for consumers’ need of healthcare, skincare or haircare items, or New Year snacks.

Customers can visit one of the designated Mannings stores during the giveaway sessions, and like and follow Mannings’ Facebook and Instagram pages, to get the limited-edition fai chun with coupons. Each pack contains four fai chun, each in a different design, that shows the Mannings Cat in a bold red New Year look, accompanied by creative auspicious sayings for good health, flawless looks, smooth hair and good appetite. The packaging can be opened to uncover two additional fai chun.

To expand the campaign further, starting from 12 January, customers who spend HK$300 or more at selected Mannings stores or the Mannings online store will receive a free set of six limited-edition "Happy Meow Year" Mannings Cat red packets. The festive Mannings Cat is depicted with a radiant expression, topped by a tangerine which signals "great luck and fortune" in Chinese culture.

Back in November last year, Mannings transformed its ifc store into an all-in-one flagship, offering digital and customised health and beauty solutions that promote AI-driven personalisation to the public.

As part of the revamp, the store launched the "Mannings health pod" (萬寧智能健康站), allowing customers to book an appointment online for a free AI-enabled health assessment that takes just five minutes. This assessment evaluates over 20 wellness metrics, including blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, body water, skin condition, and tooth shades.
